Awareness

 So who are we to perceive that there are life forms lower than us or that they are not aware? If you deny that only humans are self aware then perhaps you think you are god-like. All things are aware even if you cannot see this.

All life forms have energy. In fact, all objects have energy. Energy flows all around us every moment and so much of it we have not learned to us in our favor.

So is grass aware?

I am sure it realizes it is grass and is connected to the grass around it. It lives, it uses energy, it grows to reach its root into the ground to access water and nutrients, and it grows to reach toward the sun which it uses to help photosynthesize its food.

Is your dog aware? It does what it needs to survive in addition to loving you its owner. The dog learns to obey commands and works to please you. it craves your company and has feelings for you. They know joy and sadness.

The real question is: "Are you aware?" Do you just cruise through life without thought? Do you consider the plight of others? Do you even know what you want from life?
