A Moment of Reflection

It all began day when I was telling a friend that we moved many times when I was a child. It seemed that I was always the new kid and I am sure my sister felt the same way. I am thankful we always had each other. My friend asked me why I thought we moved and I couldn't answer. I was thinking about that this morning as I lay in bed and felt pain in my leg at my knee traveling up my thigh bone. I have never had that pain before. Perhaps it was a coincidence or perhaps it signified something of which  I cannot remember. In the conversation with my friend she asked what I remembered  and I honestly don't remember much of anything that would cause my parents to move so much. I remembered them fighting but I don't know what they fought about. At least until I was older. I remembered my mother's explosive temper and that she threw things and broke things when she was angry. I thought maybe they were just unhappy with their lives or escaping something. I told her that I had played outside most of the time, stayed in my room and read a lot. My friend said she understood why I was very solitary person and that she believed I had been protected by higher beings which is why I didn't remember what they fought about. I know my parents loved me but I think they each had their own issues that they brought with them. I feel as if my father was my protector, getting between me and my mother and that she was jealous of me. Why? I have no idea.  I have heard that I was energetic, hyper, unfocused, and immature (a typical kid that would be diagnosed ADHD today). I recall living in my imagination, spending time with people my age or younger, drawing, reading and spending so much time alone outside in my head pretending. I pretended to be animals quite often. I watched animals outside and I read books on animals. I was fascinated with anything to do with nature. Today I realize that those are all things that I still enjoy so I really am the same as when I was a child. (YAY for the inner child!) I spend my workdays with younger people (teaching), I love animals (drawing and watching them), I am fascinated still by the complexities of life and nature, I enjoy reading and love writing.  There was an in between time between childhood and a few years ago where I did not do these things I love.

I know I have probably rambled on but some days that is how my brain works. Maybe I am ADHD who knows? Back to the thought about moving...sort of...I decided to work on understanding why we moved and realized that I miss my father, mother and sister. I feel as if my sister knew everything that went on and that she kept it all inside her. Me? I am still clueless. Can I ask some one about it? No. The three of them passed away within nine years of each other leaving me here to fulfill my purpose that I might not have begun while they were still here.  I do know that I am on a path toward that.

A Prayer for Mother Earth

Creator of All That Is and the Oneness of the Universe,

I pray for the Great Mother your daughter and sustainer of all life. I pray for her and all your children be they plant, animal or man. I pray for the recovery and healing of all living things. I pray for the recovery and healing of all things for we are all interconnected and as One with you  Great Father. I pray that we can heal and restore balance. I pray for love, pure love, to flood our hearts from our souls. Love that looks beyond appearances and greed, love that accepts and heals. I pray that we forgive ourselves and live from our hearts rather than our minds. In love we heal. In love we can restore. In love we realize our connection to our Creator, to the Great Spirit, to God, to Jesus, to Buddha, to Allah, to our own soul and to all things.

May you bless us with hearts filled with pure love.

The Corporate World Continues to Ravage Mother Earth.

The corporate world continues to ravage Mother Earth. I ask what are you doing to our home? Do you not love our planet? Is your mind so filled with illusion that you cannot see what damage you are doing? I wish you could understand that what you do hurts others. If you continue on your path do you not see that you will eventually destroy your own home? That you too will have no safe water to drink? Please wake up! Work on safer methods of energy! There is wind energy, solar energy and water energy that is not harmful. Be creative and make it accessible to all people! Open your hearts and you minds and consider the welfare of your children and grandchildren.
I post this with great respect to our Mother Earth and pray that you will turn from destruction to healing her. I pray too that you awaken to her greatness and begin to feel your connection to her and the Oneness of All That Is.
In Peace, Light and Love.

The Guardian

She was tired, starving and totally exhausted with the battle of living a life that was day after day an uphill battle to keep her head above water. She had a stack of bills that she had continually robbed Peter to pay Paul. She could not figure a way out and she didn’t even have credit cards. She had no friends to help her, no parents to bail her out and no spouse or boyfriend for moral support. To top it all off she had told her druggie boyfriend of the past five months she had just missed her period. He took all of her cash and he ditched her by simply disappearing off the face of the planet. She now knew that she would in the months to come she would be in the same predicament with another person to take care of and be responsible for. Her last job had fizzled out when the business had gone under and finding a new job was impossible because of her lack of skills so she had been evicted from her rented room. She could not bring herself to prostitute out her body in fact, she thought she’d rather die.
She sat on the curb and began crying. People passed her on the sidewalk and not one of them seemed the slightest bit concerned why a nineteen year old girl would be sitting on the curb crying her eyes out while dirty water ran over her feet from the flooded streets into the sewer. She herself didn’t even care because as she sat there in the rain she was contemplating killing herself. She pulled a knife from her pocket and placed the point against her skin. How could she raise another human being when she wasn’t even capable of taking care of herself and she wasn’t even worthy of living herself? She drew the knife across her flesh pressing with the intent to slice open her vein. Nothing happened! The knife was so dull that it was completely useless! She couldn’t even kill herself. She took the final steps toward the bottom of her despair and made up her mind to step out into the street in front of a car or a bus. She attempted to stand wobbling unsteadily on her feet. As she considered her new found focus to step in front of the next vehicle she stared down the street for the right opportunity to present itself to her.
Suddenly she felt a hand grasp her hand gently and she dropped her gaze to the ground while the owner of the hand guided her away from the street. When she raised her eyes to see who had taken her hand and guided her away from the street all she saw at first was the purest pillar of light in the place of a human being. The light made her feel safe and loved. She blinked and there before her was a bent old woman with gray hair smiling at her. The old woman offered to buy her breakfast and walked with her to a nearby diner. As they ate the woman asked her to tell why she had been so close to taking her life. The girl explained her predicament to the old woman and the old woman listened carefully allowing the girl to feel her grief. When the girl finished the old woman smiled and told the girl that God had sent the girl to help her and she explained to the girl her predicament of being alone and diagnosed with cancer. She offered the girl to live with her if she would help her with things as she grew weaker. The young girl agreed and thought it would only be a temporary fix to her problem. She spent nearly a year with the woman and had her baby there at her new home. She cared for the old woman doing all she could to make her last days on Earth days of peace and joy. The baby brought joy to the old woman’s eyes every time she held her. She loved holding and rocking the baby.
One night the old woman passed away and the young woman cried with the grief of losing a loved one. She decided to stay at the house as long as she possibly could and through the funeral. At the funeral no one attended except the girl, her baby, a priest and a lawyer. After the funeral the lawyer came to her and told her she needed to hear what the woman’s will said. She went to the lawyer’s office and he read her the will. The old woman had left her the house and millions of dollars. It was enough money for her to live comfortably the rest of her life and start a shelter for young people who were in a predicament similar to the one she had once been in. The shelter offered rooms, jobs, food and schooling to give the people skills to become guardians to others. The girl walked the streets looking for great beings of light that knew not what they were. When she found them her own light shone its brightest.

Of Dreaming and Groundhogs - edited

Early this morning as I lay dreaming a groundhog come to me in the dream. I cannot remember much else other than him coming to me several times during the dream. I took this to mean that the groundhog would be the subject of my next animal totem drawing and then I read his meaning. Now I am not so sure that that is the only reason. The groundhog totem is the symbol of opening fully to the dreamtime and of exploring altered states of consciousness more fully. Dreams will have great significance and how to go into unconsciousness without harm. Lessons associated with death, dying and its processes will begin to surface. The groundhog can teach people about metabolic control.

You are being asked to explore altered states of consciousness deeper. The answers are within you – however you just have not dug deep enough to find the root of it. Groundhog can also be letting you know that you need to pay attention to your metabolism. Be aware of how your diet influences your natural bodies cycles and to make dietary adjustments to balance the workings of your body.

I have had some significant and strange dreams in the past year and I am fully capable of knowing I am dreaming and may exit the dream at will. My new dreams are often strangely realistic and rarely the bizarre hodgepodge of assorted thoughts from earlier times but more like living another life. I can spend significant time between dreaming and waking where my mind seems to be in a calm and peaceful state. So I am curious now is groundhog is here to teach me about dreams on my journey down my path? I believe the answer is yes!

Just have to say....

I just have to say I have thee most wonderful friends!

Things I notice in Meditation

When I meditate I can feel myself leaving. I see  pulses of light and color moving from small to large spreading outward. I see gentle flames spreading outward from around me while I am in my heart space. When I come back in from meditating I see  large  pulses of light and color shrinking to small.
Sometimes when I meditate I just don't want to come back to the world.
